A Beautiful Contradiction

This life is assuredly a beautiful contradiction.
We fear of death our whole life,
But what if we beg for it in the end?
Busy streets assure us there's life.
The sound of silence calms us,
But what if it's terrifying?
We define our own lives.
Society has no real pressure on our actions,
But what if approval is all we crave?
We live on strict schedules.
We must be on time, it's of the essence after all,
But what if time is meaningless?
Our senses never fail us.
We know what is right,
But what if it is wrong?
Poets pray to be heard.
We originate complex thoughts,
But what if they don't like it?
What if?
The greatest question to naturally occur,
But what if we never ask it?
We know of the contradiction.
We are confined by it's limits,
But what if there are no limits?
